well no such luck
plugs looked like theyd been in there awhile but they werent fouled or damaged in any way, they were bosch platinums (i wonder if thats why i get that stupid noise through my radio, cause i was blaming my fuel pump)
oh yea and WTF! is with those things theres 8 of them and they arent real nice to get to it took me for ever and i skipped a few of them.
pulled the egr and it appeard clean juced with cleaner anyways
so i guess ill do a fuel pressure check i just gotta get a gauge

Before you go spending money on a fuel pressure gauge, take a look under the hood at night. Make sure it's good and dark. Look for any arcing from the plug wires. Spend a few minutes looking and have someone aceelerate while you are looking. It may not do this constantly. Also, look for any indication of arcing, like black buen marks on some metal.
I had the same problem you are having with my old 93 F-150 5.0L. I spent months tracking down the problem and had a lot of bright folks look at it as well. Turned out to be a plug wire arcing out on the valve cover. Rerouted it and the problem went away immediately.
Mine would ping with premium fuel as well. It also had a rough/roaming idle but did not ping unless it was under laod. I could wind it up in park or neutral with no problem. Problem was less apparent when the engine was cold. I had it decarboned which helped but did not cure it. As stated above, all it required was rerouting one troublesome plug wire.

Try This. Pull The Vacuum Hose Going To The Egr Off And Plug It (THE HOSE). See If It Stops Your Problem. There Is A Sensor That Controls The Vacuum To The Egr Valve. It Could Be Malfunctioning.
yea i thought of that, that stupid little diff. pressure aluminum box on its own little stand on the passenger side, but if that was malfunctioning wouldnt that set a code?
well tried disconnecting the egr anyways didnt make any difference
but i noticed the idle screw had little nicks in it like someone twisted it with a pair of vice grips, so im wondering if since the idle is preset and not adjustable if they mighta thrown of the tps but turning this screw?
im gunna follow texan2004's advice tonight, i checked my wires and found one with a slight worn spot it was rubbing on the timing belt cover
should i change my plugs and run autolites instead of bosch and change my fuel filter too?

I don't think the idle screw will effect much if its been that way since you've owned the truck. I would get rid of the bosch plugs and go with motorcraft/autolite.
