Wiring Plug
I was installing a set of speakers in my 05 Expedition, and I was using the wiring adapters supplied, which made installing a breeze.
Of course, I ran into a major problem when I went to check the speaker wires for interference with rolling the windows up and down. In fact, when I rolled the window down, it stripped the factory wires out of the plug. I've tried to re-seat the wires, but something in the plug must have broke when the wires were pulled out.
SO, my dilemma is where to get a new plug. All I can see on both plugs is a name of EPC, and a number 58 on the factory plug(EPC58).
The Parts wizards at the local dealer looked at me like I was from Pluto....They don't do plugs....
NONE of my local auto parts stores carry anything like that....Napa was close with a GM Type plug, but nothing for Ford.
A google search of EPC hasn't got me anywhere....
CAN ANYONE HELP?? I don't want to just Strip and Crimp.....Would always like the option of returning it to stock if I need to.
