I figured i did the process right but i just dont understand why sometimes it says "turn the ignition on" and other times it says "turn the ignition on but DO NOT start the engine" when they mean the same thing. The only reason i asked the question is because after all this stuff i had seen about the tranny learning and firm shifts, i was expecting to really feel a change in shifting but i barely noticed any change. So i was just making sure. Thanks for the response.

you know those programmer type people - they make the same statements when they mean different things sometimes
I use bill pay from my bank's web site...
and it sends me an email entitled "Bank Name Bill Pay Notification" been like that since 2002 and know it well... then it will list the payments it sent out as a confirmation...
yesterday I get an email entitled the SAME THING...
and open it and it's my new house payment...
I freaked because that large a payment was supposed to come out at the end of the month.... not the beginning...
Called the bank and they said NO, that's a notice it's due...
I said then change the subject line to something different from the one's you've PAID doofus !!!!!

I'm going to take it easy the next day or two and then i'll see how much the chip helps. Looking to get an intake and exhaust next month maybe, still need to get spray in bed liner and a step bar, not terribly easy getting into an FX4 F350 in dress cloths! I tell you though, i'm liking the modding on this truck. My previous ride was a 350z and i can't even compare how much more expensive aftermarket stuff was for so little hp gains.
