I have an'05 f350 and I am wanting to find out if it is true, if you run a programmer on your truck does it void the factory warranty? Then what anyone's recommendation would be for a programmer. I am currently running a predator chip in it now.
From everything I see the dealer has to prove your programmer was the cause. Did it cause the overheat for example. I have a bunch of friends here that use the Superchip with great luck. You just want to make sure before you go to the dealer with a complaint you take the chip out and remove the battery cables for a bit to clear the computer. To get better info on this subject you should visit the forum that specializes on you engine, year, or just the Super Duty forum.
Ditto on removal of the chip and back to stock and the battery cables. Also ditto on the "Prove the mod did the damage" but that might cost some lawyer fees for you...
Do a search and you will find a lot of responses on this.
