problem with new f350 drw?

Ever since I got the truck, I've thought it rides rougher than it should. I've got a vibration between 40-45mph that no one knows what's wrong. I've taken it back to the dealer several times to have the tires balanced and everything checked to find what is wrong, but they can't find anything. Yesterday I was looking at the bed and noticed that it was uneven. The right rear of the bed was about 3/4 - 1" higher than the other 3 corners of the bed. I took the truck to the dealer today, and they told me that they thought one of the springs was in a bind. They looked at the bulletins and Ford suggests adding a 1/2" shim to the left rear. It sounds like a cheap and easy fix that doesn't sound right to me. What does shimming the the rear end have to do with leveling the bed? Will this solve my vibration? Thanks and sorry this is so long.

i think my bed is a little off also, nothing major maybe half inch i think high on the right side passenger side. i just though it was half in worth of fuel or somthing since the tank is on that side and i noticed it while waiting for the truck to fill up. if you think about it 30gallons of fuel at 8 or so pounds per gallon you looking at 240lbs i dont know about you but when one of my buddys that weigh that much sit on the tail gate the back of the truck def moves 1/2 in or so if it didnt your ride would be even worse... i dont thnk shimming will fix your vibration problom. that could be alot of things. tires, not balanced, drive shaft not balanced who knows lots of things cause vibration

It's a 2005 model. I thought about the fuel causing it, but it's like that no matter how much fuel is in the tank. The bed is only high on the passenger side rear of the bed. The rest of the bed looks level. It's been in the shop twice to have the tires balanced, but still have the vibration. I don't think they checked the driveshaft or anything else.

If there is another dealer nearby, wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion on your vibration. Also go to fordvehicles.com and get your vehicle registered in the owners section. You can record any problems there and any work you do. Also the dealerships will record any work they do to the site. Including oil changes tire rotations etc. This is a great resource if you have problems later. In order to use this you'll need the vin#

There is a TSB about a "moan/droan", caused by the engine firing pulses making the turbo pedestal vibrate/resonate. Could this be what you are experiencing?

The TSB goes on to say, "Itf the number embossed on the turbo pedestal IS NOT 1846207C1, replace the pedestal... It gives other information on things to look for and do.

Broadcast Message 0992, SSM 17530, TSB #04-9-4 & 04-18-4.

I can feel the vibration in the seat. It feels like a tire out of balance, but that has been ruled out. I don't know what could be causing it.
