heck it was -20F on the river(detroit river) last night and i had both port holes open and the radiator off in the room of the Tug boat i was sleeping in.
cought a few hours of sleep between tows.
as far as my truck i always have a windo cracked open.
I work outside for a living so I usually just wear a windbreaker from 10-30 when it is colder than 10 I have a sweatshirt on under it. When it hits 30 or above I am moving around so much I am usually in my shirt only.
Hey rangersvt04,
What the heck do you do on the river in the middle of feb?I mean, the shipping lanes are closed right?Just curious. And yeah I know,Im hijacking a thread, but hey it is my thread anyway!
Hello my name is quarterhorsemom and I am a cold wussy. I hate the cold I hate the windchill even more.
I keep the windows up, i wear a jacket if its 65-70 and a parka below 65.
the barn where i work has a policy of if you need a jacket the horses get to have their balnkets on. Well that rule went out the window when I began working because at 50 or above they get to have their blankets off. Well since I wear a jacket I had to put a thermometer on the wall.
When i lived up north i never turned on the heat in the truck and usually had the window open a little unless the wife was in it. She always complained, It's too cold or Are you nuts!!! Geesh nag nag .
