Home thermostat settings
Summer: I'm in Arizona and let the swamp cooler run all the time.
Winter: My thermostat has been broken for five or six years so I turn on the heat until it gets hot, turn it off, turn it on until it gets hot, turn it off... I was fixing it a few years ago but the phone rang or something and I haven't got back to it. Maybe next year.

We turn the A/C off about 4 weeks out of the year. The rest of the time it's set at 70 plus keep all of the ceiling fans running.
Heck with the electric bill, I like to be comfortable!!!
I think we've used the heat twice this past winter just to knock the chill off.

What's a thermostat? Actually, we use the heater a fair amount in the winter, usually set it to 68*. In the summer, we just open the doors and turn on the ceiling fan. I hooked up the A/C, well swamp cooler or evaporated air conditioner, 2 years ago and ran it twice. Once was to make sure that the pump and all was still good.
We live in the Sandia Mountains in New Mexico and it gets down to about 0 alot in the winter and maybe 95* in the summer.

Hey Mil1ion,
I Don't know where you came up with that formula for conversion, but it's inaccurate, and gets worse the higher the temp. 21*C=69.8*F
C*(X)1.8+32=F*
F*-32(X).555=C*
For some reason it was drilled into us in school, yet we still use F*, unless you work in a lab.

Now I know why Michelle is always cold.
We have a quick way of getting it close that's all.I didn't mean it to be gospel.
For temps above 0*C ONLY
Double the Celcius temp & add 30 gets you close.
