Hey guys, I have a 2004 ford f-150 am i am having trouble finding my iat sensor. i think i might have found it in the intake tube, but i couldnt get it out. if thats it, it looks like i need some special tool to get to it. is this the right thing? Help please
On the 4.6L, it should be in the intake tube (connector is underneath).
On the 5.4L, it should be up behind the air filter box.
Don't know if you need special tools or not, but do a search in the 5.4 modular engine forum and you may have all the instructions spelled out for you.
I have a 2004 F150. I am trying to install a 2 wire chip to the IAT sensor. Where is the IAT sensor and if it is the plug coming out of the CTS, which wires do I hook the chip to?
DO NOT INSTALL THAT RESISTOR CHIP. Those things are cheap $0.01 parts. That thing will fail down the road and short out your IAT sensor. It "shorts" the sensor and tricks the PCM to run rich. I know it's cheap, but you're just asking for broke stuff
