2 speed sensors?

2 speed sensors?
I have a new 2004 4r70w tranny I want to put in a 01 F150. It appears there are two sensors on the drivers side, they both look like speed sensors. One is near the back like normal, the other is above the manual range switch. What is it and do I need to wire it up? This can't be a TCC is it?
