I have a 81 Bronco 351W (origionally 302) ,c-6 & have the opportunity to get a 91 F-250 4X4 351W,ZF 5spd complete to swap motors & go with efi. How much will I run into since I have complete donor? What is the easiest rout to take for swap? I assume the efi will be a speed density--will the pose a problem in the future with a engin rebuild with a mild cam? While I am at it I would like to swap in the rear axle should be pretty straight forward but what about converting the front to 8 lug or the whole dana 50? Any thought on this appreciated.
Alotta wiring on the Bronco. It will be pretty straight forward, just time consuming. You will have to put in the fuel pump's or pump. Don't remember if that year has one in the tank or tank and frame rail?? The tank pump might not fit, Bronco tank is bigger, longer pick-up. Get yourself some good schematics. Haynes manuals, in my opinion has better schematics than Chiltons. Should be fun!!

I am doing a conversion about the same as you are talking about, it is not that hard if you have the donor truck, the cam thing is something i wished i would have researched first because i built the engine and sealed it up with a little hotter cam, the problem that the speed density has is that it uses vacuum from the manifold to regulate the engine and the bigger cams reduce that, which in turn cause problems. go with a stock cam and drive on.

The cam can still have a little extra "umph" but the issue lies in lobe separation and duration. While mass air will compensate, speed density cannot as Bigblock460 already mentioned. If you are going to have a cam done, make certain that they understand the speed density limitations. Its "doable" just can't get as extreme as mass air would allow for.
