Flashing Overdrive light (NEED HELP)
Hi everyone. I am new to this forum and would like to ask a question. I have a 1996 F150 with a 302. I just recently bought it (like yesterday actually). It is a great truck but I notice the Overdrive light flashing on the column shift. I asked the owner and he said a 3 speed automatic was put in and replaced the original transmission. The 3 speed doesn't have Overdrive and therefore it flashes. How can I verify this or see exactly what type transmission I have since I am transmission challenged 
The truck runs great with 92,000 miles and it doesn't shift hard. Just concerned and any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
