Couldn't get that page to load, BUT I checked out the hennessey page.
For MOPAR that is AWESOME.
There is something I love about ridiculous obscene amounts of hp.

Thumbs up

If you like obscene amounts of hp, you would probly love my grandfathers old drag cars. I have only seen them in old photographs, and newspaper clippings due to the fact he no longer has them. My fav is a 1965 Dodge Coronet with a blown 426 street Hemi. That car was putting out 1,000 hp when he raced it. What I wouldn't give to go back to the glory days of the musclecar era and see what he has seen. The stories he tells me make me wish I was alive back then.

If you'd like that then everyone would love my friend Larry's 57 Fairlane. It sports an all aluminum shotgun motor that's been poked and stroked to 477 cubic inches. It also sports a 6:71 BDS with twin 1050 dominators. It dyno'd at 1188 hp without the 200 shot of nitrous that he has on it. He also has a 22 point roll cage.

I sure would have like to have seen that Coronet
That era sure was impressive, however I believe we are living in another musclecar era right now.
Diesel trucks that are capable of high 13s 1/4s with a chip, revised intake/filter, and removal of the exhaust...
Cars that are capable of 12s 1/4s off the production car showroom.
And RWD has finally made a comeback.

I believe we may be living in a muscle car era greater than the 60's early 70's.

I rode in a Boss 429 one time. It was a ride I'll never forget, for showroom performance. The built 428's back in my day, had so much power and torque, I don't see how many of todays cars can compare. But, then again, I've never ridden in a Lightning or a Mustang Cobra. Fuel injection just doesn't seem, to me, to deliver that neck snapping punch of the old muscle cars, when that set of secondaries or second carb kicked in. The sound of the engines, everything, made the early musclecar era what it was.

But anyway ... this thread is about the SR-10, so I digress.
