Still Waiting ???????
Could it be normal, or should I be concerned? Ordered 05 Super Duty, V10, 6 speed on 11-26-04 and it is still not at the dealer. Salesman claims he can not optain any information and that I just have to wait. The wait has been killing me.

When I ordered mine they put it on the highest priority whatever the number is and told me 4 to 6 weeks. I know the owner of the dealership so he did this for me, otherwise he said it could take up to 12 weeks. You may have ordered a option that is holding it up, but by now the dealer should know something. I bet if you go in there and tell them you decided that you didn't want the truck any longer since it was taking so long they would find out something quick!! 4 to 6 weeks to me is seeming like an eternity so I can imagine how you must feel. That's crap - they have their computer system and VOPC system. They can find out the status on the vehicle, they may just not want to tell you.
Ps - I ordered my truck (see signature) and it arrived in less than 4 weeks.

I got some information from the guys over at Blue Oval News, but not from the dealer. Like captchas orders 2 trucks the same day and then come in so far apart, it just doesn't add up,but he still got informed. It's been tough seeing so many nice 99 - 05 F 250s and 350s on the road and not being able to join them

I can believe that, but the dealership should be able to tell you what the issue is.
problem #1: SD's are allocated, so that could be a problem.
problem #2: 6-speeds have been slow in coming sometimes (hit or miss)
There could be other issues with the individual order. Hard to tell without knowing the complete option list. I'd suspect #1 is the primary issue.

Captchas, sounds like you have a good dealer to work with. Good luck with your new rides. I'm now thinking it maybe an allocation problem as polarbar stated.I wish my dealer would just tell me if that's the case

re: "Reserving spots." We do the same thing with Mustangs and Corvettes. All you're doing is stacking the priority codes so you have a stock unit show up periodically with your sold order units.

I ordered on 11/27/04, got a order confirmation on 12/2, and two weeks ago got a build confirmation date of 2/14. These orders seen to go thru the fleet order guy and apparently the salesman doesn't follow up with him unless you 'squeek'! My salesman would just feed me BS(lost in the railway system) etc. every time I called. I'm still waiting...last talk said first week in March. Seems the 'allocation' for a KR is only 2% for a dealer for a year! Dealers don't seem to want to trade because of this allocation. If you can't find a 'Jeff' or 'Polarbear' you are stuck with a lot of doubletalk and little consideration since they already have your deposit. I'm looking at over three months wait and there is still no guarantees it will be here the first week in March. I'm near Palm Springs and last year I went to Oregon to a buddy to get my '04 that got totaled 11/04 due to a 'asleep at the wheel' driver. Next time I'll come to the FTE BEFORE I go shoping. Good luck and I hope your wait is not as long as mine.
