As Anzan said " All hail FTE!!! " I can get answers from good folks here that owe me nothing.

huntercgr, I had words with my salesman yesterday, so I'm giving him a couple of days off. May stop in on Sat. and will ask for priority order#.

Thanks All

stmatt,
Ordered my 250 Lariat v10 on Feb 2. Dealer told me I was assigned a priority "10". Called them on Feb 11 and they gave me a Vin # and a build date of Feb. 21/05. Hope its not true about Monday build dates!
Something doesn't sound right. As stated earlier it's probably got something to do with allocation, but the dealer should tell you what their allocation is at that time. The guys at Blue Oval (as everybody is here) are a great source of info.

OK, yesterday and this morning is 2 days!!
You are more patient than I. Of course I didn't hear the words from yesterday because I wouldn't let him off the hook.

I am curious if you put a deposit down? Not that it matters much.

Captchas, Funny how this distance thing works. I was just back in NJ for a funeral service three weeks ago. I ended up ordering because any 350 LB KR's I found didn't have the options I wanted. They would have the moonroof(which I don't need for another 1000 bucks) but wouldn't have the dual alternators to go with the camper pkg. which was a must for me. I found it amazing that that they would load up options and leave off things like back up sensors on a LB CC, etc. I guess thats why we are willing to order and wait just to get it the way we want it. While I'm here, many thanks to you guys and all your help. I love this forum!!!

huntercgr, I put a 1000.00 deposit down when I ordered. I did get 200.00 under invoice and a decent amount for my trade. So the story started out happy, I hope it ends happy.

captchas, the priority code on the paper I got the day I ordered was 12, don't know if that one is accurate. I do have a VIN which was checked for me by a guy at Blue Oval News, I was shocked to learn that the truck I ordered 11-26 was received by Ford on 1-31. I'm hoping it won't be too much longer of a wait.

Thanks for all the replies, 80% of the information I have on my truck came from guys like you

Kewl, you're on your way. Now you need a build date.

Could someone explain the hierachy of the "priotity code"?
thanxs as always... FTE is the best for us less informed :-) I have a priority 15... I hope that's good!

PS. Even though my build date was a monday (2/7) Dare I ask why why Monday's are a concern... do the robots get the weekend off and should I worry about them having a few to many high/low voltage cocktails?

The priority codes exist to keep the dealership sane, so the number per se doesn't mean anything. We can "stack" orders in our preference of them being placed for production. This doesn't mean they actually appear in that order (option/model constraints will affect the process). You'd have to see the whole dealerships order bank to see how that priority code fits in.

Build dates are always on a Monday, ship dates on a Friday.

My wife and I saw a F250 blue HD (at another dealer) an hour after ordering a XLT Sport with the black leather captains chairs... she couldn't wait to call to cancel the order! We reordered the HD an hour later. Now I'm happy because I get all the bells & whistles of the Lariat Luxury pkg & power rear slider without the shinny wood! Those items weren't available in the Sport pkg... but we really wanted black carpet and interior and had to sacrifice those items to get the black inside. Now I'm one happy camper... and just can't wait... only 11 more days!
