i wonder why it took over 2 months to get into the order system
I also noticed that. My only guess, uneducated I might add , is that a ton of orders came in right before the holidays, and I thought there was something like a 2 week shutdown? Then throw in allocation, .

Over the years, I've learned to ask a customer to "call me in a week to verify the specs on your order." Now, I don't need to verify his specs...but I do need to be reminded to double-check that the stoopid thing actually got ordered. In the heat of the battle, it's too easy to have a sheet of paper get buried underneath an avalanche of other paper, and things get forgotten. I learned this lesson the hard way a looong time ago, and that's my safety net.

I can pretty much figure out what happened on that order.

Update, called dealer today and found out that my salesman quit on Saturday (no tears shed). Just got back from a meeting with dealership GM and found, truck is scheduled for delivery to the dealer March 7. Also found out that the truck was not ordered untill Jan. 31 (GM did not know why). Anyway the wait is on but not much longer. In the long run it will all be worth it.

Updated, update, the rebate just went to 2000.00 for the superduty. A bonus for the wait.

Thanks Polarbear, Truck is built and has left the building. Now it's up to the shipper.

this is the hardest part of the wait. as they can't trace it on the train or know untill it hits. ford seems to not be using the same system as dodge which can tell you where the train car is. thats a bummer. try and find out what happened to your order before it got placed by the dealer for us.
good luck with it man .

No longer waiting, truck arrived at dealer yesterday and I pick it up today. Still do not know why it took so long. Dealer was great , honored original agreement without question (as they should have) plus the 2500.00 rebate. Truck is awesome, will have pics in gallery soon. Thanks to all for your help. Matt

Stmatt, Congrats! Your wait was long, your reward is great. My wait has been longer and I'm gonna call the dealer this morning to see if I get lucky and beat the Mar. 7 ETA. Enjoy the new ride......
