dieselstroke it's just not possible, it must be something else, the engine would be turning the same rpm, the same amount of fuel and timing but the extra boost could only run cooler. Anything under 40psi or so runs cooler, there becomes a point where the boost will get so high it will start bringing on heat, but again thats way up there! Might wantto give it another try, you sure you pulled the right line (hate to ask)

I'm not kidding, it did run hot & lose mileage. I'm pretty sure it was the right line,
it's the one that has a 90 degree elbow, the elbow's rubber & connects onto a
little stub on the wastegate silinoid, correct?

Did you plug the "Red Line" after you unplugged it from the actuator? I'm not sure if not plugging the line would cause your hotter EGT's. Just wondering

yeah, I did. I think you have to plug it to get any performance? I'm wondering that
too, it just don't add up. I geuss something somewhere is bad/faulty.

Maybe you could disconnect it again and see if you can reproduce your previous results.

The power was great, but ya know when its running 800-850 @ 70 miles an hour
with no load, somethings not right.
Sounds sorta like the PCM selected a much richer fuel map, but I don't see how disconnecting the wastegate could accomplish that, unless it somehow produced an erroneous signal to or from the MAP sensor. Do you recall how much boost you were making at the time?.......Just thinking out loud

cookie88, I think after work tomorrow I am going to disconnect (may disconnect it
in the morning?) I will record all the spec's and see what ya think, if u don't mind?
Uhm it wasnt really that much, seems like 15 was as high as i saw. It really did push
much boost til i got into the hills. it runs 5 psi unhooked doing 70 now just fyi.
