03 Air Vent Whining

03 Air Vent Whining

My wife called me today and told me that the right air vent on the radio in the 03 EXPY XLT is making a funny whinny or electrical noise once in a while. She told me that it last for approximatley 15-20 seconds and then reappears in a minute or two. Anybody have any problems or trouble shoot this little issue to-date???

I must have asked a dumb question, no responses??? Over on the V-10 board those guys would have been all over me for posting a silly quesitons or would have a least offered up some 'Let the dealer check it out' feed back.. Anyways, I talked with the radio dude at the dealer and he informed me that on some of the late 03 model EXPY with the single CD player it actually has a small fan on the side to cool the unit and move air in and out from behind the dash. It is locaed on the passenger side of the CD player,thus the noise emits to the passenger side vent by the CD player. At first it sounded like a load of SH&*t but I heard it again and it does sound like a small fan like in a computer.
