Matt400,
I bought the kind that you just put on the truck with adhesive tape. I havn't had a problem yet and they look great. I've never had one come off or anything.
Better to get adhesive type or what are the others, snap on type?
Thanks
I have the WeatherTec window channel type. I have had no problems with them scratching glass and they stay in place.
I have the stick on type on my Thunderbird and the tape lets go after several years.
A friend of mine had the stick on ones for his Super Duty Supercab. He applied the stick on type to the short door windows. When he tried to take them off - off came the paint too.
I have a set of stampeed stick on ones and so far so good. I had stick on Vent Visors on my Cutlass and the dang things wouldn't stay on for nothing, I went through 4 sets as I never lost the same one twice, ARRRRRGGGGG!!! Also once you use the stick on ones they will be on ther for the life of the vehical because if one breaks or comes off the glue and garabage is still there and you will want to cover it up. I would try the window channel ones and I would have tried a set had my truck no already had them when I bought it.
I went with AVS in-channel snap in type, they have tape on them too. They fit in the window channel instead of outside. Very easy to do and happy with the result.

Another vote for the in channel type.Got mine off ebay for 40 bucks and some change. I had to order the kit for the crew cab and i have a supercab so if anybody wants some free rear vent visors for CC SD let me know!
I have the stick on type and I am happy with them. Also had them on my '99 E350 and my '93 Silverado. I prepped as the instructions said and they've never come off on me, had them for years. I put stick on ones on my new SD and ONE DAY later realised they made in channel type, I'd never seen it before. I deffinitely like the in channel better for looks and less damage to the truck(should you ever want to take them off.)
