Has anyone ever had a driveability test done on their Super Duty. The reason I ask is because I think I might have a slight misfire and am wondering if this test will detect it and let me know which cylinder is the problem. Is a misfire usually caused by a faulty coil?

Yes, I have. With a good tech, it can detect anything.
The tests were from $36 to $45 for me. Others on here have complained about the $75 min charge. I guess it depends on where you go or what PR you have with the dealer - or both.
Mine has been acting kinda funny for a while, sometimes it runs great and pulls strong and other times it misses out when I try to get on it, never know when it will do it, hasn't done it in a couple days, thought I got water in a coil and it dryed out, then it was back a couple days later and then gone again. Ran a test on the truck and nothing came back, I don't know what to do....

Did they (dealer) put it on the WDS and do the drivability test? If so, you might want to go to another dealer or at least get another tech. The system needs a little info from a good tech in order for some things to show up.
If the tech runs a power balance test with the WDS he will most likely see the cylinder that is misfiring. It is pretty evident if you monitor that with the engine under load. There may or may not be misfire codes. I've seen it both ways but the power balance test always shows the misfire. Monitoring the engine under load is the key.
