Aloha!
Well, I just took my car into service as it some 'unusual' warranty issues that only seem to happen to my car. Everything was done except for the paint. I had complained that the paint was cracking all over the roof and in some areas down the side channels and on the roof it's lifting and brown underneath. The service manager claims this was due to bird drioppings and it was my fault. I refuse to believe this because I'm meticulous about taking care of my paint and any bird bombs getting taken off ASAP. ANyone else have paint issues?
I'll have to check my '02 XLT. Lord knows it seems to have all the other problems associated with '02 Explorers. I better check soon, I've got about 400 miles left on my 3/36 warranty
I have an 01 sport trac. Noticed this summer that the whole hood was checking. Took it to Ford, and because I was 2k over warranty they didn't really care. I thought maybe it was engine heat, but besides the hood the side quarter panels are starting and the roof has started. It's just a bunch of x cracks, I'm sure it will start peeling soon.
Anyone know if it's affecting certain colors? Which one do you guys have? I remember Chevy having bad problems with white, sometime in the mid to late 80's.
