what a shame ,what a shame. if you love FORDS and hold in your heart those classic memories this should hurt hard.
the FAIRLANE name has been missused, missrepresented and degraded................i'm speechless...........................
The ONLY thing I like about that concept is the suicide doors. But even for that to work, they'd have to get rid of the b pillar.
Did anyone see the SYNus concept? Looks like that Bronco concept, only it's supposed to be smaller than a Focus. I didn't like that one either.
I think car makers should stick to making cars, not entertainment and business machines on wheels. I mean, who has time to surf the net while they are driving? And, since internet and tv are only supposed to work when the vehicle is parked, why not go inside to do that? Well, I guess it's time to start another rant thread. Look for it.
Gee, Kinda looks like that Scion (Box on wheels)! I wouldn't take one even if it were free. I like to have a little bit more (or even any!) design and style.
well that sux. The Fusion looks kind of cool and so does the 2005 convertable mustang. But FORD is degrading the name FAIRLANE. But only cuz they can. The SYNus is nice, I like the 4 banger Diesel.

thats my point guys.
it would be different if the they had put some thought in naming that "THING" and boy what an unjustice.
i can be happy calling that a little bronco two or something, not a fairlane.fairlane is muscle.keep it real uncle ford !
and what really sucks too is that we have the last RWD full framed car which is gonna be no more in 2-3 years from now (crown victoria) and these guys are focusing on this. i am affraid to even think of what they are gonna call a torino talladega next.
yeh nice doors and cool idea but it's far from being a fairlane no matter what they put on it.i wouldn't want one even if it came with a 50 ct diamond and if the whole car was gold leafed and free gas for life.
that would hurt ford in my opinion. The suicide doors are nice, but thats it. If they are going to strap a name to that, why would they call it the fairlane?
What exactly DID Ford learn from the Edsel? Obviously not enough!!!
How many of these new Fairlanes do they think they can sell? Like the Edsel, the styling is just too left field. Also, does the public really need another minivan? Had the Edsel have been a mid-sized car with alot less sticker shock, I think it would have done much better. Now Ford comes up with this "interesting creation". Here I thought they could do better.
AL.
i blame the new trend of car guys, you know that guy with a honda civic, that always wants to race just about anything on the road, yehp it's those guys doing stuff like this.
once there was the rumrunners and now, we have the riceburnners.
how do these guys live with themselves when they get to work everyday and look at this thing and just not get it.........daah !
the only good that can come out of this shyte ,is that for all of us who do own and drive and love the fairlanes can be happy that we have them and now we can watch the value go higher.
