JRFX4........The service manager told me about it,so I looked it up it up on this site. There is a new TSB for nibble/vib that was issued on Jan26. I just had that TSB performed on my truck a couple of days ago. I didnt actually see what the TSB said but my service manager told me that FORD has found the problem and that the tires are to be road forced and then the hubs are to be realligned abd counter balanced. I told the service manager that this TSB has been out for road forcing for awhile . What I was told is that on the new f150s the engineers put a bigger space between the hub and axle to keep the from welding together like on the older f150s. SOooooooo far the nibble is gone I will find out for sure when I take it on a trip next weekend, will keep you posted......
My service manager did some more digging. The whistling from under the hood is on service bulletin 11781 for hoot-moan-whistle noise. The fix is indeed to add stop-leak pellets to the radiator. Waiting to hear back from him to see how the stop leak pellets would stop the hooting and hollering.
Just got more info: There is a sharp angle/protrusion inside the antifreeze cavity causing the whistle. The pellets adhere to the area to smooth out the sharp angle/protrusion. There wasn't much in the description portion on the bulletin.
I get the whistle also, but only noticed it after I installed a Volant. That leads me to believe that mine has something to do with the intake. It is sporadic and limited to cold weather.
