Hey has anyone heard about a new TSB from ford regarding vibration and steering wheel nibble? The only reason I ask is because I just left my dealer and the service manager told me that ford has found the culprit for the nibble and vibration, they are definately blaming tires!.THis new TSB came out a couple of days ago and I told the guy that ford put out the tire TSB about a month or more ago. HE said ford wants tires "road forced" and the reason for this is that on the old f150s there was a problem with the steel hub and the aluminum rims "welding" together cause steel and aluminum dont really go well together. So on the new f150s the engineers put a bigger space between the hub and rim . Once the tires are "road forced" the mechanics are to counter balance this space. MY question to the manager is who will pay for this after my warranty expires and the tires need to be forced again. He said I cant really answer that. So I will see next week after they do ths if it takes care of the problem.
The dealer road forced balanced my tires 3 times and the nibble never went away and the driveline vibration is a different type of vibration not the tires. The only way Ford fixed my truck was the DSB made them buy it back.
