Looking for a 460

I'm looking for a 460 engine to rebuild, doesn't have to be complete. Anyone have one laying around ?
EDIT:
Which one is basicly the same the 400 or 429 ?

the 429/460 are the same engine family, 460 being the most common.

If you are considering a swap, there should be a wealth of information in the Performance, Engines and Troubleshooting forums:

www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=9

I wish I'd known about FTE when my buddy bought his '76 with a 460 swap. It could have saved him a lot of time and effort.

FWIW, 460s seem plentifull here in the metro area, prices are competitive.

Where in Colorado are you?

I live in Golden. Moved up from Aurora about 2 yrs ago. I used to pass pull-n-save twice a day.

I'm headed over early today (Sunday), I'll keep an eye out for 460s.

Really what I'm looking for is one for pretty much free, a engine that's been laying around a few years so any 429 or 460. Just bought a new house so money is tight. could also use a C6.

FWIW you can generally get a "yard" motor from the salvage yard for about $75 (same $ for a trans also). If you have a specific application for the engine, look for a similar donor vehicle and pull everything you need.

Even if someone has a set of heads laying around, any 460 parts will help as i'm completely rebuild it.

Well, honestly I don't care what engine it is. If anyone has a pretty complete engine laying around that is rebuildable I can come haul it away.
So, a 300 straight 6, 302, 351, 400, 460 or diesel will do. I'll find another tranny later if I have to.
