Headlight Adjustment

Here's a hard question; How do you adjust the headlights on a 67 thru 72 after you have had it torn down for a rebuild? I am sure there is some factory specs on how it should be done in order for the beams to be legal. Most likely I'll have to park the truck, at some interval like 25-30 feet, on level ground facing the side of a building. Then measure up for the high beam and low beam. I am not sure. Anyone else want to take a crack at this????

some of the full service stations used to have a headlight alignment tool that hooked to the light and then you just lined up the crosshairs with the bubble and you were done. maybe one would still have one.

pull your truck up to a wall.
mark the centers of your beams on the wall with approx 8" large crosshairs.
back up 25'.
align the hot spots center'd on the vertical crosshair, and fully below the horizontal crosshair.
