Guys, help me out here please. How do you adjust the headlights to lower the beam? My truck sits on a 3" body lift, 33 inch BFG's and I am shooting owls. I do not see any "typical" adjustment screw.
Did you remove the little plastic "lid" over the lights (when your lift the hood)...the ones you have to remove to change bulbs..? I recall some adjustment ***** under that, but do not remember if up/down is in there, or just left/right.
I had looked at removing the lens cover, but was not quite sure if that was the route to go. Thanks for the info. I will try that today.
Not the lens cover. On my '02, when you lift the hood, there is a little black plastic cover over each light that is held on my two screws. Removing that exposes adjusting **** (s).
Ok, I can invision what you are talking about, but it does not apply to my truck. The lights are mounted into the plastic facia, I do not have those covers as yours. As far as I can see, I have the light fixture, 2 bolts with back clips one is accessible the other is within the fixture not accessible. Then there is the bulb housing that fits into the back of the fixture. These are the only components or fasteners around the light. I even took the grill off to see if there was anything else holding the light in, but, nothing. The only way to access the bulb housing is through the engine bay and even removing the battrery and the top to the air filter so I could get a better look didn't help me find any adjusters. I am baffled about now and am thinking they do not have adjusters. Oh well, I pity the owls.
