Unhappy No Start Question

Have A Couple Of Questions About A 1986 Bronco Ii, That I Am Thinking About Buying. It Is Xlt Model With A A4ld Trans. The Lady Said It Ran Fine, Trans Was Rebuilt And The Engine Was Also Rebuilt About 60,000 Miles Ago. The Thing Is She Said One Day It Would Not Start, she Had A Few Back Yarders Look At It And She Said It Was Possible Electrical Problems. In My Experiance With Ford Vehicles A No Start Is Possible Fuel Problem Or A Possible Stator And Module. Any Other Ideas Would Be Appreciated. She Only Want 300 Dollars And It Is An Arizona Bronco With No Rust.

Start by checking the fuel delivery and spark. Chances are the fuel pump or something of that nature. IF it ran fine and then one day wouldn't start it has to be something pretty basic. Complicated things usualy happen while it's running not after you shut it off. Just my expierience.
For $300 you really can't go wrong. You could part it out and make double that no problem!

Fuel is certainly common. Often times it's just a relay that's gone instead of one of the pumps ('86 has two). Lack of spark is also common on these, due to a bad TFI module. Instructions for testing the TFI module are in the tech info post, if it doesn't have spark. The first question is, does it have fuel or spark when it won't start? Instructions for testing fuel pressure are also in tghhe tech info post.
