If that's the case, you've never had real coffee. I'll make you a pot of coffee that will give you involentary spasms and, depending on your personality, possibly a little bit of paranoia.

It aint from the caffine in the Mountain Dew that you are getting that "kick" from.
Its the energy spike from all that sugar you are getting.

Just bet you get a real bad sugar dump too.

I use to drink a bunch of coffee but recently quit because too much caffeine is bad for you. Now I just drink a pint of Scotch in the morning to get me going...

The scotch has many benefits to waking up! Sometimes I drink coffee. Not very often, since a coffee pot here is somewhat of a comodity. It seems my "monster" bill has gone up though. That 3/5$ is a great thing for all those long days and nights.

My limit is two 16oz monsters or 1 BFC and a lot of water. I time it so I'll crash by the time my shift is over. Just enough time to brush my teeth before I pass out.

But on average, water and copenhagen is my main staple. Energy drinks are only for those special occasions. Too much money, and I have school loans to pay off and money to save to spend on my truck.

Back home I rarely have energy drinks unless it's the rehab, I find they work great for early morning's if I was drinking the night before and force myself to wake up to go work on said truck!

I'm not particular to the brand. Except for skoal, I don't touch that stuff. I'll quit eventually. Military life makes it hard though. Seeing it all the time and it was either that or smoking, so I quit smoking. Guard duty, CQ/SD, Long nights in the field... Good for all of it! And working on the truck, helps the work juices flow better!

Well, the monster has had it's effect, and it's time to hit the rack. Catch y'all on the flip side!

I have some lock N' load java I'm thinking of trying tonight. Another long night shift back to back, and I'm burnt out on energy drinks!

Green Mountain Dark Magic in my Keurig. That and I reuse the little cups to pack Community Dark Roast in. Only 1 cup in the morning with the occasional cup in the afternoon.

I had a coffee pot in my room back home, it was brewed for any surprise leader inspection, oh, "SGT, you want some coffee? I just brewed it!"
"Oh thanks, mind if I take the cup?"
"Sure go right ahead!" ( walks out, forgets to check room)

Whiskey before breakfast. Great tune, hard on the stomach.

I have tried every method of making coffee from Keurig to Cowboy, and mostly it's a matter of decent coffee itself and near boiling water. Most drip makers don't get the water near hot enough and it wastes coffee. The good stuff is overpriced and the cheap stuff tastes like old burlap.
