Speaking about Starbucks.....

My wife and I went to NYC before X-mas. We stopped in for a starbucks coffee. Cant justify it regularly but a Caramal Machiato (sp?) is a nice treat when cold out. We continued to walk and passed 3 more starbucks before we finished ours. It was a hoot!!!

I like Madagliadoro beans. Ground fine. Brewed strong. I like to polute mine with little sugar and some of that vanilla Coffee Mate. If it's after dessert at home, I'll add a shot of Baileys Irish Creme. If i'm out in the morning, I'll stop by our local coffee house (nothing like that nasty old Starbucks! ). I usually have a double shot of espresso with a pinch of cinammon and sugar. I typically have 2-4 cups of coffee a day. Can't function in the morning w/o it. And if I don't have another by about 1:00pm, I'm ready for an afternoon nap!

I tend to have different coffee's depending on what time of day it is. I've had so many Venti double shot mochas (extra hot!) at the Terminal 2 arrivals level Starbucks that the kid just makes it while I'm in line and hands it to me

If you're a coffee fan and don't mind spending the money every once in a while, I suggest Jamaican Blue Mountain. It's probably one of the best coffees I've had... but for $50/lb it's a rare treat.

Personally, I drink it black and about four cups a day.

Consumer Reports a few months back had a coffee bean test that placed that old, grocery store staple, "Eight O' Clock" at the the top of the bean pile. I always assumed this brand was down there with the stuff they swept up from the roasting room floors at the end of the day. Out of curiosity, I bought a bag to try and lo and behold, it was just as good as any of the pricier brands I've tried in the past.

Black, no sugar

Folgers is my choice, and I drink 6-10 cups a day, with nothing in it. I usually buy and make most of the coffee for the crew at work, since I drink most of it anyway. My whole family consumes a lot of coffee. I got to drinking some flavored coffee for a while, but my brother gripped and complained about it so much that I quit serving it. I can usually tell when someone makes Maxwell House instead of Folgers. It doesn't taste bad, but It just ain't what I'm used to. I don't cull many brands. Home and work I use a drip coffee maker. It's hard to believe but we don't have a Starbucks in this town, yet.

I take the stainless steel stanley along in the truck everyday. That lasts about 4 hours. Hills Bros, Folgers, or sometimes Maxwell House, it just depends on what Jane brings home. On the weekends when I can enjoy a cup or two it's the pricer stuff and it has to be black. Not much for the flavored drinks, but then I don't wear a skirt either.

When I was on deployment I had my wife send 8 O'clock Coffee. Waaaay better than Folger's or whatever kind of swill they were making on the mess decks...

Am I the first one to say TIMMY's. It's a canuck thingy doughnut chain coffee. I buy the preground stuff to make at home or go thru the drive thru when needed. If I could just bypass the stomach and inject the stuff into a vein I would. As far as Starbuck's goes, in my opinion they're overated.
