does any one know how much they are thru PAW i dont have one of there catalogs yet. there 210 from summit and i was just curious how the prices compared
Summit ships for free, does PAW? If the cost for shipping from PAW is $20 then we have a tie. I am told that DP is better for normal street use and fuel economy. That is what I plan to buy for my 240. John
And like PAW charges about $10 as a "handling fee", so unlees the prices are inaccurate, you'd save $20 going with PAW.
I would think the DP would be better MPG wise but when I read peoples experience with the C, their MPG isn't much different, that I can tell and there are variables involved so its kinda hard to tell....would be nice if someone changed only the intakes and could provide some input one way or the other.
thanks guys i need to order a catalog from paw butr havent got a chance to yet. and i see now that summits wont ship until 3/5 but they stock the c
thanks guys
thanks again guys but the buyers on ebay finally wised up and didnt pay retail price for a used part and the seller only having "6 Cylinder Ford Intake" for the title and "You are bidding on a Offenhauser 6 cylinder Ford 4 barrel intake." for the description didnt help attract many buyers. So i ended up paying $106 delivered for a used offy DP.
now only if i could find a 390 holley for under $50 and a pressure regulator forr around $50 and i would be set
....and to think I check ebay almost every other day.
Just kidding, good deal, if I would have seen it I would have been giving you a run for your money during the last minute of the auction....
You could pick up an electric fuel pump for carbs (stays around 6 psi) for $50 or less. Summit, jegs, jcwhitney etc
There is only one drawback, sometimes when people disconnect the wiring from the stock efi pump(s) they cannot get fuel to draw through the end of the line, using a mechanical or electric (carbed) fuel pump. (you could run your own fuel line) I have a feeling this is associated with the engines that use two fuel pumps (high psi/low psi), one in the tank and one on the frame rail, but I cannot be sure as it has been a while and I cannot recall.
if the fuel pump boss was mackined out i woul go mechanical but its not of efi blocks i would like to keep my dual tanks and the new fuel pumps also so thats why im going to use a pressure regulator
