I bought a used F150 with a junk yard FMX tranny in it. It originally had a C6 in it. I need to know if there are any variations in a C6 transmission other than 4wd or big block or small block bell housing? Thanks, novie777@bellsouth.net
Hi, I've got a 351m with a FMX in it. I think the FMX is a junk yard tranny and not the original. The guy I bought the truck from said he had to re-route the cooling lines for the tranny he put in it. I understand the C6 is superior, but I'm looking at one out of a Lincoln and don't know if it will work. Thanks for your help. Novie
The shift lever probably is different. The yoke is different. It might not have provisions for a neutral / reverse switch. Rear mount may be in a different location.

You should really start your own thread. This one was started in 2004.
