buzzing around console shifter?

benjitsaur I believe the noise/rattle can be fixed by taking it back to the dealer and
having the ashtray assembly change out I don't think your noise is the same as the
shifter I had mine changed and that fix the ashtray rattle

Still chasing mine, dealer can never duplicate.

I climbed under the dash when it was making the noise. As someone else wrote, it seems to be coming from the cable that goes through the firewall (shifter cable?). Anyway, if I put my hand on it I could feel it vibrate. I pushed and pulled on the cable a little and it has stopped. So far not to return for the past few months.

Several years ago my wife had a chevrolet[sorry] that would make noises around dash area when ideling in gear only. I noticed while driving 1 day that the eng. was ideling lower than usual. Had it checked & it was, got emission part replaced and fixed it. With eng. ideling higher no noises.

Pull the ashtray and put felt tape where ever plastic to plastic contact occurs. You can also use the round felt stickers found at most stores for putting under lamps, etc.
