Code 172? What is it?

Code 172? What is it?

I just installed a Superchips Micro Tuner and went for the performance/towing option and it threw out code 172? Says to call Superchips which I will do but there closed and I was wondering what it is? Also I pull a 23' MAstercraft with it and it says for the highest performance option not to pull anything what would happen if I did this option and then pulled my boat?

What vehicle is it? The tuner does not have your vehicle's calibration code in it, you'll need to call them so they can update it.

the vehicle in question is my 2000 Ford Excursion Diesel, Also if I go for the maximum power setting it say not to pull a trailer what would happen if I set it this level and then tow my boat?

The engine will ping (spark knock). Just like a hot stove or web paint, there's reason you shouldn't touch it.

Oh Ok makes good sense to me, being a street rodder and car builder I always have to ask if I dont I suffer from the bigger must be better disease.
