Question DTC code?

Well I got my exhaust and Superchips Micro Tuner combo last Fri and finally got around to looking over the instructions for the tuner. I will not use any of the performance settings until the exhaust is installed (hopefully over Memorial Day weekend) and I can buy some gauges. I did however use the tuner to check for codes and pulled up one, P0603. Given the fact that the only problem I ever had with this truck was the Cam Sensor is it safe to assume that it is a stored code from that problem? If not what should I look at first? Thanks in advance

If you had disconnected your battery cables or removed the fuse for the PCM, it could have set this code. I can assume since you changed the cam sensor, that you probably removed the cables. If you cleared this code with the reader, it probably won't show up the next time you check for codes. I sometimes get this code when I change performance settings. It is nothing to worry about. Just clear it and it will be fine.

Thanks mueckster

I didn't really think too much of it when that code came up, but just wanted to make sure. I didn't clear the code as of yet, but will tomorrow. Thanks again.

My memory isn't what it used to be, but I think that is also the code that gets set every time you change the programming with your tuner. Someone who knows for sure can correct me if I am in error. If this is the case, after you change your programming, just use the tuner to clear it and you should be good to go. I got this code (I think) every time I have changed my tuner programming, from stock to hi-perf, AND from hi-perf back to stock either one.........

The code is for:

P0603 — PCED Internal control module KAM error Open PCM pin, disconnected B+, faulty PCM

Keep THIS in your favorites for other codes.

I'll clear the code and then install the hi-perf program and then back to stock again and let you guys know what happens.
