Steering column actuator

HELP PLEASE.....1988 F250 4wd...I have removed the steering wheel,covers,dashboard cover etc. I don't seem to be able to figure out how to get the broken part of the actuator out of the column. I have tried in vain to find a diagram or illustration on the net. This task does'nt appear to be this hard! Suggestions PLEASE...

Are you trying to remove to remove the lower actuator? Is this a tilt wheel??

it is the actuator that attaches at the top of the column and it is a tilt wheel.
