I see most of the guage "packages" that have boost, pyro, and trans. temp guage, is the trans. temp gauge needed on the 6-speeds?? Might save me a few bucks if it isn't needed like the autos. Thanks-Aaron.
It's not necessary but people have done it. I have a 5 speed and opted for an oil pressure gauge for the third gauge. I also plan on adding a volt and coolant temp gauges. It is always nice to see what is really going on, and not counting on the factory dummy gauges.
You can also get the tranny temp gauge and use it to see the temps of your diffential instead. Fuel pressure gauge, or ammeter, or any of the previously stated gauges.
if you tow alot its not a bad idea to have one on the trans so you can keep an eye on things. i run one on my trans and rear end. got two senders and just have a switch to toggle between them right now cause i havent got the other gauge pod in yet
Personally - I'd probably still have a trans temp on a 6 speed - but then again - I've got a little bit of a gauge fetish!!! 6 in the truck now - and 2 more coming for Christmas!!
Hi list
I'm new here, and I hope I'm not butting in. I use the 3 gauge to monitor the Engine oil Tran's oil and difro. I just use a 3 way raster switch. Work pretty cool I think. It gives me a good idea how hard the different parts are working.

hey im running boost, egt, trans, rearend, oil pres, and fuel pres, air pres in tank, then theres the air for my air bags.
i just wish autometer made a lit needle gauge that would be white with black numbers in the day and turn to red numbers at night. my buddies toyota truck is like that looks sharp easier to see than just the side illumination. they have that new nexus gauge system that is somewhat what i want but i bet all that is going to be pricy and what i have will just have to work, part of that system being so expensive it can change colors and moves the gauges around when you put the key in all the stuff the ricers drool over that i can care less about, i just want them red and to work when its runnin
