big block engine swap

i am interested to know if anyone has info on how to swap a 429-460 into a mid 80's ford ranger. any feedback is good.

p.s. i know it may sond crazy

Thats a hard swap, a lot of space problems there, you could try asking in the swap forum if you don't get more info here.

Can you stuff a 460 with a hydraulic bellhousing, late 70's 3spd w/OD toploader into a 83-88 2wd ranger?

If you'd like to spend the time doing a search, this subject came up about a year ago. One of the members actually provided names of companies that make kits to put 385 series engines in Rangers.
One company that I remember had 3 kits. Street, street/strip & strip only. So, from a basic install to roll cage included were the choices.
