swapping gears
Anyone out there know of a good place to get gears? Anyone sell front/rear sets? I am thinking of swapping by 3.55 for some 4.11s. I swapped the 6 for a 351 and want to put 35s on the truck, but I don't want to lose the power that I gained by the engine swap.
Does anyone have an idea of what it will cost to have them swapped? I will have to take it to a shop, diferentials are not my thing.
Last question, 1995 F150 4x4, current gears are 3.55s, the differential is a 8.8? Same as the Mustang GT? I only ask because I had a Mustang 5.0 and had the gears swapped in that, so it might give me an idea of the cost of this gear swap (x2).

The rear is a Ford 8.8, so that would cost the same as a Mustang, probably in the $500-$600 range, if nothing else is worn out. The front is a Dana 44, parts and labor should be in the same ball park.
