Need Help with Speedometer,ABS light, Check Engine Light
I have a 1999 Ford Ranger SB, 4 cyl. A few days ago I was driving to work and the speedometer quit working, the ABS light came on and the Check Engine light all came on at the same time. Does anyone know what's going on with this and how to fix it? I can't afford to go to the dealer right now. Help.

The next time that the abs light comes on take and stop the truck. Look down to the fuse box and going into the back of it should be an orange and white wire. Turn the truck back on, just the key don't start the truck, and ground out that wire, as soon as you do so the abs light should start flashing a series of beeps, count the beeps and the series of these beeps. Depending on the number of beeps this will tell you the problem. Get that number post it and i will try and give you the actual diagnoses. If you don't get any beeps at all I would start pulling fuses in the panel and even check the power distribution box, under the hood, usually back towards the passenger side above the solonoid. Hope this helps you out some.

It was the speed sensor, located in the differential.
I posted a similar question above, the speed it determined in the differential? So the wires come from the differential and go to the speedo? If that sensor is bad, what is involved in changing it?
