Maybe someone can help me out. I've searched the web with no luck, yet.
I have a Dell A920 all-in-one printer/scanner. I don't care to deal with Dell to replace the ink cartridges because I . . . (how do I put this nicely?) . . . hate Dell's service and charges. Also, I can get Lexmark cartridges here in town.
Lexmark made the A920 for Dell, so what cartridges are compatible for my printer?
If you can't cross reference them, it's hard to say. I have a Lexmark PRINTRIO and it uses lexmark 16 Black and the color one is 26. I have another Lexmark all in one out in my storage shed and the cartiges are different on it. It will take me a few days to get out there to check it out, unless I can sneak off tomorrow from work and go look.
Well, from what I've found it would seem I'm out of luck. Seems that the Lexmark X75 is supposed to match the A920, but Dell had the cartridges made with a "special" notch on the top to make it work with only a Dell printer. Therefore, forcing the consumer to buy from Dell.
There's a new store in town that a guy has. He gets stuff from Ebay and sells it at his store for "cheap". I'm gonna check tomorrow and see if I can get some cartridges through him. I've found some fair priced ones on Ebay, but I don't care to mess with it.
Wally world has NEW Lexmark printers for about $30- the cost of one cartridge. And, they come with a new color and a new black cartridge. I think ink is a major rip-off.
I have an Epson C40UX printer that's been sitting for over a year. I'm debating if I should try to get ink for that and see if it still works. Either way I go, I'll be spending $$.
