Hurricane Charlie and a garage door took the chrome trim around the windshield on my 1986 F 250 pickup. Salvage yards around here don't seem to keep vehicles this old--hard to believe an 86 is old!
Any idea of a place i can get replacement trim for the 1986 F 250?
I've got 2 parts trucks here and both have the trim. One set is even removed and laying in the cab. PM me with an address - if I can find a box for shipping, its your's for shpg cost.

Have fun getting it back in....it can be done, but it's easier to do with the windshield removed. Removed the chrome trim on my 69 before painting, and it took forever to put back in until I finally gave up, removed the shield, and installed it, and then re-installed the windshield once it was in place. It can be done, apparently, but it was beyond me. I tried the rope trick, a bit of grease to "help" it, etc....nothing worked for me. Hopefully you have more patience than I had.

the 80's trucks have removable chrome like the cars do, it isn't part of the molding. The windsheild is glued in, and the chrome HAS to be removed to get the windshield out. It is hed by blind clips. I have apeice of mine missing, but the windshiled leaks, so there is no point putting it on until I get the windshield cut out, resealed, then I can put the chrome back on.
It's not too old a post - Sawdust and I have been talking and I'm his backup source for the trim. He's hoping to find a set closer to FL. Any of you S.East guys that can help him out?
