Dave, there is no Ranger trim that I am aware of for the windshield. Should you be referring to the Custom Cab bright metal trim, place the gasket on the glass, place the trim in the slot, use a 1/4 sash cord and loop it in the outer slot starting bottom center. With an assistant place the setup in the truck and start pressing & pulling the cord until you get it installed. Or do as I did and pay an auto glass con to install it for you.

The stainless steel windshield reveal mouldings were used on 1967/69 Custom Cab/Ranger; 1970/72 Sport Custom/Ranger/Ranger XLT.

The mouldings are placed on the weather strip FIRST, then the weather strip is installed on the glass.

Do you already have the trim? If so it should be installed on the gasket before the windshield is installed

I'm sure they would, Try warm soapy water this should limber up everything and make it easier.
