9" Rearend

How would I go about putting a 9" on my '91 F150? How involved is that?

If you had a 92, I think then you would have an issue with your electronic speedo. But you have a 91 so it will be a direct bolt in. Not sure about the drive shaft length. The 9 inch rear can be had with several different u-joint flanges which affect the u-joint size and the drive shaft length.

I have never done the swap but I know thw 9 inch axle bolts in place. Ford trucks could be had with either the 8.8 and the 9 inch for a few years until the 9 inch was completely done away with.

Just wondering, why do you want a 9" in there? Your 91 F150 should have the 8.8 already in there which can be as strong as a 9" if you build it up.

I want a 9" because it is stronger than the 8.8. I'm about to put a 2003 Harley Davidson Edition engine in my 91 and I need the strength and the posi.
