Restoration parts for 84 f150 single cab short bed stepside

Hey all,

Does anyone have websites/companies/etc for restoration parts for an 84 F150 single cab short bed stepside. I need to replace the entire bed, both doors (all hardware/glass/etc) and the left fender.

NPD - www.npdlink.com or www.nationalpartsdepot.com
Mar-k - www.mar-k.com
dennis carpenter - www.dennis-carpenter.com

Be prepared to pay some money for them bed parts, it was going to cost me 1000 bucks canadian to replace the wood bed in my 82, but i decided that i would replace it with polished aluminum diamond plate, on a black truck this looks really sharp.

ONE WORD"EBAY". Spend an hour or 2 each day searching Ebay and you will be amazed at what you will find.I have seen whole trucks with the bed you are looking for go for less than $300.00.Some had very nice beds and some were pretty rough but any restoration expert will tell you that sometimes it's just a matter of luck and being in the right place at the right time.Make sure you look at all the ebay motors catogories,I have seen inexperienced Ebay sellers list stuff in the wrong place and to find the parts you have to be patient and persistent.Good Luck!!!

Send me a list of someof the stuff you are needing and I may be able to help you. I restored the same truck a few years ago and when I was on many of my parts quests at salvage yards I may find two of what I needed and I would buy them both when I knew they were hard to find items figuring I would probably need twoof them or I would know someone who did. Anyway many of the parts I had left over after a few years were interior stuff, when I sold the truck I sold all the Ford truck stuff I had for that model year to a friend with that model year truck. I'm sure if he has something you need he'll work something out with you.
When dad and I did the floor of that truck we used oak and stained and varnished it ourselves and had less than $150 total in the wood. The pieces that you have to cut out to fit the wheelwells inside of the bed are wide enough to also use to make oak armrests for you doors. Just lay the armrest pad over the wood and trace it out and cut a little bigger so as you can always sand and gring some off to get a real good fit, looks sharp when they are done. If I can find some pics of that I'll send them to you if you want.

Birdhunter1,

Here is what I am looking for:
  • right side rear fender
  • left side front fender
  • brand new doors with all the windows/hardware/etc
  • new dash
  • interior dome light cover

Those are the basics. Thanks for the assistance.

Thanks to everyone else who responded to my questions as well.
