Your injectors should be a D code, the pressure range is 1800-1950 with rebuild/reset at 1425. If you have the correct tools and special holding and testing equipment they are easily changed by adding or subtracting internal washers. It is good paractice to have new injectors tested and brought to within 5 psi of each other making a matched set. No sense in having one pop off at 1950 and a bunch at 1875 since the injection timing would be different.

Got you, thanks for the info.

We are changing the glowplugs today, (Autolite I am afraid), but anyway, it was hard to start and after checking we found one bad. So I am changing all eight.
It was down to -10C here yesterday. Got new batteries as well 2 x 60AH.
So if the glowplugchange dont work, we will go for the injectors.

You can usually tell if the injectors are getting weak, they make a light tick and the engine will run bad. The weakened internal springs will let the combustion pressure get back into the fuel line and make air bubbles in the fuel. Just be careful when installing new ones, there is a small pin point tip on the end of all of them, that has to be there and make sure you have removed the crush washer from off the old injector from the bore and install a new crush washer on each injector. I used a small amount of anti seize compound to hold the washer in place during install.

The above info is right on, one thing I would add is for sure put antisieze on the threads and the barrel of the injector, this stops any cumbustion sticking to the barrel that may leak into the head bore if injectors not tightened enough ..35Ft lbs. Unless you have had one stuck full of carbon you will never know the aggrivation..........and dangers when cleaning.

Hi
Glowplugs are changed, checked two of the injectors as well.
They did open just above 1700 PSI, but they was ****ing out deisel, not making fog like they suppose to. So I am looking into to overhaul all eight of them.
Looks like its gonna be a never ending story, but I recen starttrouble and fuel econemy starts here. It might be a good idea to take a compression test at the same time as the inectors are out..

Thanks for the help, they have a set on e-bay right now, I am bidding on that one first to see how that goes.

It is the company you told me about wich is haveing this auktion.

Since I got this truck, a few things went bad, like steering and trans(C6).
Do you know a good place to buy overhaul kit for this trans from?
Been on Summitracing`s page, they seems to have it for like $200.
