I have a 1989 F250 7,3 4wd. Just done the Glow plugs and the injctors.
Next step is the steering box, wich have seen better days.
We tried to adjust it, but it seems to be worn out.
Is that something I can overhaul myself, or is it best to buy a new one?
It is rather expensive over here, close to $800.
Where is "expensive over here" ......... Have you looked at the rag joint, that is the joint on the steering column sometimes under a cover, just above the steering box they wear out and can be replaced easily.
Rebuilding is not "harvey handyman advisable" sorry. Wreckers would be able to match up to a newer year compatible st box.
