I know that if you take off all the pulleys and use under drive V belt pulleys then you will have spent $350 and gained 75 HP! Don't forget the electric fan and water pump.

If you rotate your Cat every time you rotate the tires you will gain 35 HP. This works because the hydro carbons that were removed (robbing HP) will be added back in. This only works for the first 28 minutes so plan your races for right after the swap.

10 Moth ***** in the fuel tank will increase the octane rating of the fuel and gain at least another 10HP.

A 12 inch lift, 38x14.5x16, with gear change to 3.55:1 and a gear venders over/under drive will get you an extra 5 mpg, all this for $5300 will only take 45,000 miles to pay for it self and increase resale to levels rivaling a PSD!

Towing a 24,000lb 5er with a V10 is not too bad in Colorado. Yes you will be down to 5mpg going up hill, but screaming down the other side you will be over 19mpg just like all PSDs. Your average will be 12.5mpg just like all V10 get so tow away and don't worry about no stinking mpgs.

Ever notice how nobody ever askes if going from 31 inch diameter tires to 29 inch will help the loss of torque form the other $4700 go fast mods?

I know someone who spent around $6 k upgrading their V10. Got a big increase in torque and fuel mileage. Replaced the block, heads, pistons, intake, exhaust, and so on - with a 6.0 L PSD

There, hows that . . .

Don't forget to use a TORNADO, they swirl the air around and give you GOBS of extra power and lets you get 30 mpg in the city!

I forgot DuraLube and two cans of STP systhetic great for a claimed 15% HP increase and your motor will never need a rebuild! Zero wear on any mating internal engine part, grate stuff and increases the resale value a whole lot.

Don't forget, if you put anything on your truck that runs off the battery, you will LOSE power. Whether it's an electric fan or your headlights--DON'T USE THEM!!!!

Doesn't the 50 states CARB certification allow the use of certain performance parts ? If not why advertise them to be in compliance ? I mean you get the exemption number with the part, what good is it if you can't show your thingie to someone ?

Man.... I took off the cat, put the magnet on the fuel line, installed headers, 4 inch exhaust, flowmaster, tornado, K&N, Amsoil, slick 50, STP fuel additive, you name it, I did it. Problem was, I had to stop every 100 miles to remove gas from the tank

Why waste your time with the 6.0 I talked to a guy that said he can only get 16 mpg out of it, but his 7.3 with a chip got 38 mpg. The bad part of this conversation was the he was serious. Some people have a wild imagination.

The mileage posts are old,no more good spirited discussions here.Jeez!Nobody attacks me any more because i have no cat converter.Help MONSTA!!!
We're right in the middle of new trucks, with no miles, and getting to where we'll start getting reports of 200+K miles on the V-10. I believe the board will be different fairly soon. We'll still have the newbies, who have just bot new rigs, and we'll have us old guys, who are starting to get 6 figure mileage. And we'll have guys coming in who are buying 50-100K mile used trucks. I think it will be interesting, but right now it's just an in between time, Ken
