code 401

My wife took my truck to auto zone to have it tested beecause my check engine light is on.They gave her the code 401.Can anyone be more spacific on what the problem might be?

I was just looking thru my hanes repair manual and noticed they have a list of the codes in it.401:EGR insufficient flo detected.

Is it a P0401 code? Insufficient EGR flow?

If so, I can almost assure you that it is a bad DPFE sensor, which is easy to replace. Do a search on DPFE. It has been covered well.

yes, I'd bet that it's the DPFE... it was on mine, and they had a recall on a bunch of them recently (oops.. not a real recall, they just extended the warranty on that one part.. they shoulda recalled it, though!)
