Emissions problen P401 code.
I have been haveing trouble with the EGR system on my 97 F-150 4.2 L V6. My check engine light came on. Got the code read P401. Egr Insuffient flow. My engine Idles fine, and runs good at high rpm. If I just barely touch the gas the engine stumbles. I unplugged the EGR valve and the stubble goes away. If I plug it back in it runs bad again. I have changed the valve and still have the same problem. It seems like when the valve is open it causes the problem. I have been trying to fix this for some time now and have had no luck. What could be causeing my problem??
