I have a 2110 F-350 7.3 PSD DRW LWB 4x4 and when it is idleing the exhaust sounds like a jet, is this normal? you have to be close to the exhaust tip to hear it over the engine idleing. Like a large volume of air moving through it that it makes a jet like sound. Hard to explain except what I said above, definately not like a gasser.
I think the quiet turbine noise he is referring to is the turbo itself, not the EBPV, because you don't have to be standing close to the exhaust tip to hear it when it's engaged.
There is a LARGE volume of exhaust moving through the exhaust system, it's 3.5" for a reason.
I would say consider yourself lucky, I think it is cool to get a truck to sound like that. I have heard a few before and it is neat, in fact I am trying to get mine to sound like that but am having no luck. But there is nothing to be worried about. And by the way how did you manage to get a 2110 truck already? I thought the 05 was the newest one out. Then again that new 2110 year model truck might just have a jet motor in it.
